Knowledge Asset Submission Guidelines

EJP SOIL organises the 5th edition of the annual science days on October 6th and 7th, 2025 at Aarhus, Denmark. The second day will focus on ‘Impactful dialogue’.  Some of the objectives of the day are:

  1. Discuss validation opportunities (decisions support tools, management practices) of relevant EJP SOIL knowledge to practice in different pedo-climatic zones (with farmers in the lead).
  2. Explore opportunities for the further deployment of practices & innovations developed in the EJP SOIL till market readiness.

We would like you to submit a knowledge asset to participate in the ‘round table discussions focusses on identifying the next steps for validation & valorisation of the EJP SOIL knowledge’. We are looking for maximal 36 EJP SOIL and other relevant Mission Soil/HE projects knowledge assets, which, with some extra investments, can become market ready.

The ’round table’ discussions will be focussed on the next steps needed to bring an ‘EJP SOIL/Mission Soil projects asset’ to practice; this could be done through policy, validation in the field or through the ‘traditional market ‘readiness process [follow TRL level]. We believe this session is interesting for scientists with an ambition for impact beyond science, for future entrepreneurs, investors, and policy makers.

You as the initiative/project lead will pitch the asset at a poster, people can ask questions, feed the initiative with suggestions on how to improve, make connections with comparative ideas; from there we can use a Business canvas/ Impact canvas to further shape the next steps towards market/ policy readiness. We will invite investors and funders that may want to invest on ‘your’ EJP SOIL asset.

We are looking for ‘assets’ within the following overarching themes:

  1. Soil biology
  2. Soil management practices/ decision support systems
  3. MRV
  4. Increasing soil organic matter
  5. Agricultural soils under climate change

Remember that you also have to register for the conference if you submit an abstract. You can do so via this link: EJP SOIL Annual Science Days | Sign up
