About 80 participants from 14 countries took part in the conference. Though it was not an event of EJP SOIL, the topics presented and discussed at the conference, like soil threats (soil water erosion, soil pollution), soil ecosystem services (hydrological control, erosion control, carbon sequestration), or proper soil management are closely related to the objectives of the EJP SOIL.

Moreover, several contributions resulting from EJP SOIL were presented and discussed at the conference.

Field trips led to the agricultural wine growing area of South Moravia and to the Beskydy Mountains where an experimental station focused on carbon cycling and greenhouse gas emissions was visited.
